Hawaiian Subjects By Default

You Are Not a U.S. Citizen — You Are a Hawaiian Subject by Law

Most people in Hawaiʻi today assume they’re U.S. citizens simply because they were born here. But let’s be very clear: Being born in Hawaiʻi does not make you a U.S. citizen. Under law, history, and international standards, you are by default a Hawaiian Subject — and that carries real legal meaning and political power.

The Hawaiian Kingdom Still Exists
Contrary to what the State of Hawaiʻi and the U.S. government claim, the Hawaiian Kingdom — a recognized sovereign nation with treaties and diplomatic ties — was never lawfully overthrown, extinguished, or ceded. What happened in 1893 was an illegal act of war: U.S. Marines invaded a peaceful country without cause. The so-called “annexation” that followed was never ratified by treaty. It was a U.S. domestic resolution — with no authority under international law.

This matters. In the eyes of law, both U.S. and international, the Hawaiian Kingdom still exists. And if you were born in Hawaiʻi or to parents who were Hawaiian Subjects, you are still a Hawaiian Subject today. That legal identity has never been erased. The U.S. cannot take something from you that was never legally theirs to begin with.

The U.S. Has No Jurisdiction Over You
As a Hawaiian Subject, the State of Hawaiʻi and the United States government have no lawful jurisdiction over you. Their so-called courts, prisons, laws, and police powers do not apply to you — unless you consent to them. Most people don’t realize this, and without understanding their true status, they fall into the trap of acting like U.S. citizens and becoming subject to foreign rule.

That needs to stop.

This isn’t about wishful thinking — it’s about legal fact. The duty to protect Hawaiian Subjects lies with the Hawaiian Kingdom government, and that duty includes making sure every Subject knows who they are, reclaims their status, and stops feeding a system that has no right to control them.

Reclaim Your Identity: Hawaiian Subject Documents
To make this reality clear to both you and to the U.S. government, you must take steps to formally verify your status. The Hawaiian Kingdom Government provides three key documents for every Hawaiian Subject:

Hawaiian Subject ID Card
Identifies you officially as a subject of the Hawaiian Kingdom.

Certificate of Verification
Confirms your legal and historical claim to Hawaiian Subject status based on birth and ancestry.

Status & Standing Documents
Officially notify U.S. agencies, courts, and officials that you are not a U.S. citizen and are not under their jurisdiction.

These are not just symbolic. They are legal tools. They serve notice. They document your lawful position. They are how you stand up — not just for yourself, but for your country.

Don’t Feed the Lie
Every time we check the box for “U.S. citizen,” every time we enter a U.S. court as if it has authority, every time we register to vote in U.S. elections, we’re helping uphold the lie that the U.S. owns Hawaiʻi. They don’t. But they’ll keep acting like they do until we stop playing along.

You don’t need permission from the occupier to reclaim your identity. You need knowledge, courage, and action.

It's Time to Stand as Hawaiian Subjects
The Hawaiian Kingdom isn’t gone. It’s suppressed, not surrendered. Our kupuna knew who they were. Our national identity wasn’t erased — just buried under generations of misinformation.

You are not a U.S. citizen just because someone told you so. You are a Hawaiian Subject because you were born into a sovereign nation that never died. And now it’s time to act like it.
