The Office of Hawaiian Subjects (OHS) is officially and lawfully chartered as of August 16, 2025. This charter arises under the doctrine of necessity, preserving the continuity of the Hawaiian Kingdom as recognized under international law. This office is not a substitute government, but a legitimate mechanism for upholding the rights, identity, and education of Hawaiian Subjects in accordance with both Hawaiian Kingdom law and humanitarian law.

Chartered Duties

Mandates and Duties
The Office of Hawaiian Subjects carries two primary responsibilities under its lawful authority:

1. Education
Teach the 1864 Constitution of the Hawaiian Kingdom, emphasizing Articles 1, 12, 14, 78, and 94.
Provide educational workshops and printed materials to empower Hawaiian Subjects to assert their rights peacefully and knowledgeably.
Preserve and instruct genealogical records as evidence of lawful Subject status.
2. Lawful Reaction
Receive, document, and archive sworn reports of violations against Hawaiian Subjects.
Submit these incident reports to the Council of Regency and appropriate international bodies such as the UN Human Rights Office.
Build a legal archive for reference under the Geneva Conventions and the Rome Statute.
 
Legal Foundations
The OHS operates under the following legal frameworks:

Hawaiian Kingdom Constitution (1864) – Ensures fundamental rights and protections of Subjects.
The Hague Regulations (1907) – Requires occupying powers to respect the existing laws of an occupied state.
Fourth Geneva Convention (1949) – Protects the rights of persons under military occupation.
Rome Statute (1998) – Declares unlawful confinement or transfer of protected persons as war crimes.
Doctrine of Necessity – Authorizes lawful provisional measures when the regular functions of government are obstructed.

The mission of the Office of Hawaiian Subjects is to preserve, protect, and promote the lawful rights, identity, and dignity of Hawaiian Subjects through education, peaceful documentation, and the reestablishment of national consciousness.

Guided by the Constitution of the Hawaiian Kingdom and international humanitarian law, our Office serves as a beacon of truth and accountability. We exist to:

Educate Hawaiian Subjects on their lawful status and inherent rights;
Provide resources to peacefully assert and defend those rights;
Lawfully document violations against Hawaiian Subjects and submit them to competent national and international bodies;
Uphold the continuity of the Hawaiian Kingdom through the principle of necessity and the empowerment of its Subjects.
We stand committed to truth, kuleana, and the restoration of pono—by lawful means and for the benefit of our Nation.
